The Hawaiian island of Kaua’i made history by holding its first ever pride parade this summer. Turnout far exceeded organizers’ expectations with hundreds of people attending the inaugural parade and events. Pride parades have been held on other Hawaiian islands, but this was the first for Kaua’i which boasts a full-time population of over 60,000 residents.
